Director - Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

Leads the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) function in delivery of high quality services to internal customers while effectively managing the category portfolio and team. Responsible for managing internal customer relationships at the business segment and function level as well as managing a high performing category management team of professionals. Responsibilities will also include the development of the strategic category roadmap aligning to the business needs and the subsequent delivery of the sourcing activities. Establishes a first-class Strategic Sourcing & Procurement organization to support internal Farmers customers through innovative category strategies with a customer focused mentality and efficient execution.
Essential Job Functions

    Customer Relationship Management - Responsible for managing customer relationships, taking accountability for delivery of services and ensuring SS&P is positioned as a value added trusted advisor Strategic Roadmap
Strategic Roadmap - Develop the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement category strategic roadmap as aligned with, and informed by, the customer's business priorities
Team - Develop, coach, mentor and manage a team of SS&P Managers and Analysts including oversight of talent acquisition, performance management and talent development
Management and oversight of large and complex initiatives
Manage sourcing process including requirements definition, RFx development and facilitation, scorecard, analysis, vendor selection, contract negotiations, risk management
Oversee Business Process Outsourcer (BPO)
Design and implement best-in-class processes and procedures
Management of the initiative pipeline to ensure a balanced throughput of demands against resources

Education Requirements

    Master's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree required
Certifications - ISM, CSCMP, other industry certifications preferred

Experience Requirements

    10 - 15 years' relevant experience (strategic sourcing / supply chain / purchasing / contract negotiation)
Minimum 5 years' experience at a management level with responsibility for talent management and strategic direction.
Experience with managing and delivering across business unit and geographical boundaries
