Position Summary:

The position will take the leadership for managing specific Ingredient Categories to ensure the sustainable supply, deliver the measureable cost efficiencies, develop and implement the supplier relationship management strategy and drive the world class sourcing to support the business.

Major Responsibilities:

Utilize the Mars Strategic Sourcing Methodology (MSSM) and e-Auction toolkits to develop category strategy and deliver sustainable savings year over year

Manage category globally and work together with R&D to build innovation pipeline to support new product innovation and meet both the top line and bottom line objectives.

Work closely with Value Profitability and Optimization(VPO) team to identify, develop, maximize the cost reduction opportunities

Develop and implement the 3-year strategy to manage the ingredient/commodity cost efficiencies to provide the measurable positive impact on the top line and bottom line

Lead the risk mitigation plan for Ingredients to ensure the competitive and sustainable supply and meet the Company sustainability objective

Ensure the responsible category meet the social responsibility requirements, supplier quality requirements and reduce the none conformance cost 10% year over year, with the Supplier Quality Support.

DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY, RECOMMENDATIONS & IMPACT

Negotiate, construct and implement contracts in responsible categories and ensure the related contracts meet the internal contract approval requirements

Responsible for the Supplier Confidential Agreement negotiation, construction and implementation according to the CDA approval process

Accountable and Responsible for financial KPI ( PPV, Standard Price, Market Analysis, Budget Review)

Qualifications

Education/Training:


Minimum: Bachelor's Degree required. Area of study should include Supply Chain, Engineering or Finance

Preferred: MS or MBA preferred

Related Experience/Requirements:

Minimum: Minimum of 10 years experience in sourcing, finance or manufacturing

Knowledge of P&L and YOY cost savings metrics

Progressive experience utilizing strategic sourcing methodology

Direct experience in successful purchasing negotiations

Preferred: Direct experience for commodity or chemical sourcing; Global sourcing experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Minimum: Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP system

Strong alignment skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior management both internally and externally

Strong analytical skills, with thought leadership that drives strategy and execution

Strong understanding and experience utilizing Strategic Sourcing methodology, supplier management programs, contract negotiations and continuous improvement programs

Sound interpersonal skills enabling the incumbent to work effectively within cross-functional teams

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel 15% globally
