Position Summary:

The position will take the leadership for managing the Flexible Film and Foil Categories and is responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to deliver uninterrupted supply, measureable cost efficiencies, innovation and world class sourcing support to the organization.

Major Responsibilities:
  Utilizes strategic sourcing methodology to develop category strategies, source, negotiate and manage suppliers to deliver total lowest cost materials and mitigate the supply risks. Intimately understands the category markets and cost drivers and develops annual budgets for the Region.
  Collaborate with other Mars segments on synergies to drive optimal value to the organization.
  Proactively works with suppliers to ensure the delivery of continuous improvement and technology which ultimately leads to competitive advantage and working capital reduction opportunities.
  Serves as the primary point of contact for cross-functional partners across the region, relative to sourcing activity: Quality, Innovation, Packaging, Productivity, Copacker Team, Operations Business Team, Finance, Product Supply and Procurement Operational Team.
  Works closely with productivity teams to identify cost reduction programs.
  Works with cross-segment, cross regional buying teams to develop sustainability strategies.
  Increases revenue for supported business by leading the sourcing of innovative packaging.
  Develop and maintain detailed forecasts to ensure timely supply and minimal material obsolescence.
  Ensure highest packaging quality and ensure that all suppliers are in compliance with requirements.
  Work together with Quality Assurance and Regulatory to ensure all packaging is in compliance with all requirements.


DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY, RECOMMENDATIONS & IMPACT
  Contract recommendations for packaging purchases are made by this position.
  Key supplier contract negotiations with strategic suppliers are conducted by this position in conjunction with the Director, North America Commercial Packaging.
  Authority to construct contract negotiations with non- strategic suppliers in conjunction with the spending approval process.
  Responsible for the Supplier Confidential Agreement negotiation, construction and implementation according to the CDA approval process.
  Accountable and Responsible for financial KPI (PPV, Standard Price, Market Analysis, Budget Review).

Qualifications

Education/Training:

Minimum:

Bachelor's Degree required. Area of study should include Supply Chain, Packaging, Engineering or Finance

Preferred:

MS or MBA preferred

Related Experience/Requirements:

Minimum:
  10 years of experience in Sourcing, Finance, Manufacturing and/or Engineering
  Knowledge of P&L and YOY cost savings metrics
  Progressive experience utilizing strategic sourcing methodology
  Direct experience in successful contract negotiations

Preferred:
  Direct experience in developing and commercialization of new packaging

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Minimum:
  Working knowledge of SAP / ERP
  Strong alignment and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior management both internally and externally
  Strong analytical skills, with thought leadership that drives strategy and execution

Physical Requirements:
  Ability to travel 15%
